Position Summary:
The Freight Coordinator is responsible for managing the entire booking and tracking process for air and ocean freight shipments. This role includes liaising with logistics partners, ensuring timely document submission, and maintaining accurate shipment tracking to ensure on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Arrange and confirm bookings for air and ocean freight shipments in alignment with customer and business requirements
• Coordinate with shippers, consignees, carriers and other service providers to ensure smooth cargo movement and smooth handling for both LCL & FCL shipments
• Verify the correctness of documents provided by shippers, carriers and other service providers
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure company service level, follow up cargo to warehouse & CY terminal to ensure delivery before cut-off time, proactively identifying and resolving any potential delays
• Collect, verify, and organize all necessary documents, ensuring compliance with both local and international shipping standards. Distribute pre-alert and required documents to appropriate parties in timely manner
