We are looking for a Data Scientist working in our Hanoi office, who will use a range of coding practices to build scalable data products to solve the last mile challenges and help define and drive the next iteration of Jitsu products. The data scientist is part of the product team that is focused on delivering exceptional experiences to our drivers, clients, internal teams and end customers.
What you will do:
You will generate large databases from various sources of structure and unstructured data.
You will analyze data and generate statistical information to identify trends and patterns to help Jitsu, the drivers, and their clients drive better business decisions.
You need to understand phases of product delivery and be an expert on analysis for each stage to contribute to decision making for product features, operational, driver, client, and internal improvements.
You will use a range of programming languages to transform big data into data sets by translating technical data to simple language and giving recommendations and conclusions to stakeholders.
You will build scalable machine learning pipelines and use feature engineering and optimization methods to improve data set performances.
You will work with engineering and other peers to integrate and separate data feeds to map, produce, transform and test new scalable data sets.
Implement best practices for data.

What you need:
1. Experience
Minimum masters degree in data science, data analytics, business analytics or big data plus 3 years working experience.
Experience using and developing algorithms, developing and implementing models and creating and running simulations.
Experience with database management, machine learning or artificial intelligence.
Self-starter mentality with forward-thinking and growth mindset.
Excellent communication skills and experience working in a team environment.
Proficient in scrum/agile development methodologies and tools.
2. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience in data visualisation and presenting data in graph or pictorial format.
Proficiency in designing algorithms and using statistical and problem structuring methods.
Ability to clean and validate data to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
Ability to use linear and non-linear regression, logistic regression, models and classification techniques for data analysis, clustering, dimensionality reduction, k-NN and pipeline.
Proficiency in mathematical computing.
Interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in various programming languages such as Java, C, Python, R along with strong coding skills.
