JOB DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this role is to lead the Maintenance team in delivering high-quality service that meets production demands while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, legal, and contractual standards. This includes monitoring job progress, removing productivity barriers, and maintaining machinery and equipment in optimal condition. Additionally, the role involves managing manpower, supporting recruitment, leading skill development, and overseeing the procurement and maintenance of materials and mechanical systems.
Key responsibilities include:
• Foster a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to guidelines during all maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure the maintenance team follows health and safety management systems before commencing work.
• Inspire and guide the team, assess their performance, and offer constructive feedback to promote service excellence.
• Work in partnership with various departments and external stakeholders to address and resolve operational challenges.
• Track maintenance performance metrics to meet objectives and improve overall plant productivity.
• Execute maintenance strategies focusing on preventive and predictive measures for essential machinery.
• Lead sessions aimed at identifying improvements and actively participating in ongoing enhancement projects.
• Address maintenance requests swiftly and engage technicians in the resolution process when necessary.
• Efficiently oversee the inventory of spare parts and consumables.
• Evaluate resource requirements, create financial plans, monitor costs, and enforce budgetary compliance.
• Manage energy consumption and implement strategies to promote efficiency.
• Design training programs and develop competency frameworks for members to improve their skills.
• Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the department manager.
• Ensure compliance with organizational quality protocols and safety guidelines.

• A bachelor’s degree or higher education of Engineering is required, preferably in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Mechatronic, or equivalent majors.
• Possess a minimum of 10 years of working experience with demonstrated success in a similar role maintenance or operations, with a strong track record of achieving production goals.
• Expertise in effectively managing resources, including personnel, materials, and budgets, to optimize operational efficiency.
• Ability to react swiftly to production demands and maintenance inquiries, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
• Strong understanding of maintenance practices, equipment functionality, and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Proven capability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Fluency of English.
