The Laboratory Administrative Assistant will support laboratory operations by coordinating resources, managing inventory, and overseeing facilities. This role includes administrative duties, lab management, and collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and has strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, a friendly demeanour and financial acumen for budget management. They will provide quality support to the Science Department and excel in reporting and communication.
Responsibilities:
• Operating inventory laboratory management software for resource coordination.
• Performing general laboratory administrative duties.
• Reporting and documentation for lab-related activities and projects.
• Overseeing science laboratory facilities for timely maintenance and replacement.
• Monitoring expenses and managing budget for laboratory operations.
• Coordinating with other departments to ensure effective communication and alignment with general goals.
• Providing timely and quality support for tasks.
• Familiarity with the Child Protection Policy and Procedure and Code of Conduct for staff and following the information therein.
