JOB PURPOSE
Primary Teaching Assistant will work in partnership with the class teacher to support the delivery of high-quality education and care to children aged 5-11 years old. The role will involve providing support to the class teacher in the preparation and delivery of lessons and supporting individual children or small groups of children with their learning and development.
KEY DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS
Teaching & Learning
- Assist teachers in developing and implementing learning activities and supervise group activities.
- Establish a constructive relationship with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
- Develop children’s language in both English and Vietnamese through role modelling, play and questioning.
The Environment
- Create classroom environments that are safe and conducive to learning for young students.
- Clear away materials and aides after each class and ensure the overall cleanliness of the classroom.
- Helping to display children's work.
Pastoral Care
- Positively manage students’ behavior within the classroom and address behavioural issues appropriately, ensuring that all students are kept safe, and accidents are minimized.
