We are seeking a Senior/Lead Backend Engineer (Java/Python) passionate about building scalable, high-performance backend systems to support MoMo’s advanced fintech products.
You will:
Design and develop: Build robust, scalable, and reliable backend systems using Java or Python, serving millions of us
Optimize performance: Improve and maintain system performance to ensure load handling and reliability in a high-transaction environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with Product, Data, and AI teams to integrate Machine Learning systems, Data Platforms, and AI products into our payment platform.
System architecture design: Contribute to designing microservices architecture and manage the full product lifecycle from design, deployment, to monitoring.
Approach and research new technologies to apply to the company’s/team’s projects;
Collaborate with project leaders and other stakeholders to get projects done on time with high quality;

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technology or a related field.
At least 3-5 years of backend development experience with Java or Python.
Strong programming skills in Java/Kotlin.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
Solid understanding of software design principles and design patterns.
Code Quality: Focus on code quality and best practices, and ability to ensure code quality in the work.
Code Review: Ability to review code, identify bugs, and provide feedback to ensure code quality standards are met.
Strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures. Familiarity with running large-scale microservices and high-performance services.
Strong communication skills and collaboration skills.
Tech Stack: Java,Python, Redis, HBase, ElasticSearch, Kafka, and BigQuery Experience with GCP and complex codebases.
