POSITION SUMMARY
- The Local Sourcing Specialist / Strategic Buyer is responsible for developing, validating, communicating and implementing sourcing strategies for locally managed categories (at NiM level) and also follow the Strategic Sourcing Process tools, templates and policies developed by Nestrade and applying the Nestlé Standardized Procurement Model for categories managed above market.
- She/he has to ensure the efficient implementation of new or changing items/services, P2P channel management and of new suppliers.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Understand BU/Function strategies and priorities, translate them into needs and integrate the information into procurement category strategies on procurement across Hub and at market teams. Ensure this information is provided to all critical levels of Category leadership.
- Perform supplier market analysis, category analysis, and supply risk analysis, and develop TCO understanding, as well as the map of how sourcing process and channels work within the locally managed category (At Market) and identify improvements to be targeted.
- Prepare and execute negotiation events seeking best TCO contracts and beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers for the locally managed categories (at NiM level)
- Involved at early stage of project development within the NiM level work. Understand innovation and renovation plans for GMB/BU/Function at NiM level and interface with any other functional specific groups developing strategy and supplier needs within the NiM. Ensure these strategies are effectively represented and incorporated into category and SRM work.
