Role purpose:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized AR/AP Accountant to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of financial statements, maintain accurate financial records, and perform various accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.
2. Preparing and meticulous reviewing the month end reconciliations (debtor, creditors, bank accounts, intercompany account, etc.)
3. AP/AR
4. Journal Entries and Ledger Maintenance: Prepare and post journal entries, and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
5. Preparing payments, payment vouchers and updating cashbook entries.
6. Assisting in the preparation of cashflow reports.
7. Create and maintain spreadsheets and/ or database to record, monitor and compile financial information
8. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
