The Secondary Classroom Assistant (Arts/ English) should be an adaptable and resourceful individual who is able to perform a wide variety of roles and, in particular, to support the teachers and students in the school's creative arts education and the language subjects. He/she must be able to communicate effectively in English and maintain a flexible working relationship with subject teachers. He/she must possess a sound knowledge of the School’s vision and mission statement. He/she is expected to be in school between 7.30 am and 4.30 pm every school day.
Teaching and learning
● Assist in the educational and social development of all ISPH students.
● Work with groups of students to assist with the delivery of teacher-planned lessons
● Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in the lessons.
● Lead small groups of students in language learning support activities
● Work with specialist teachers when required.
● Lead a weekly co-curricular activity (CCA)
