Job Summary
In this role, The Assistant Manager, Legal will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing legal operations related to fundraising, lending, and capital mobilization activities. This individual will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, provide strategic legal counsel to support business objectives, and actively engage with lenders alongside the Board of Directors (BOD).
Main Responsibilities
1. Legal Advisory & Compliance:
o Provide comprehensive legal advice and solutions to ensure all fundraising and lending activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
o Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, loan agreements, and other legal documents related to capital mobilization.
o Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the company’s financial operations and advise stakeholders accordingly.
2. Fundraising and Lending Support:
o Lead legal aspects of capital-raising efforts, including debt and equity financing.
o Oversee the structuring and documentation of loan agreements and ensure their enforceability.
