Class Work:
• Provide support for students aged 2-11 years inside and outside the classrooms, to enable them to fully participate in learning activities.
• Reinforce lessons and assist students as they complete classwork; this will include withdrawn one-to-one or small group support as appropriate.
• Deliver interventions to students.
• Modify learning resources to support students with inclusion needs.
• Support the social and emotional development of students and report any issues to the team around the child when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with teachers as lessons are created and classroom policies developed to ensure students’ needs are considered and planned for.
• Meet the needs of the inclusion students by making modifications to lessons/learning activities, as needed.
• Provide regular feedback to teachers and parents on the students’ progress.
• Assist in organising educational activities such as trips, assemblies, events and examination invigilation, to ensure the students’ needs are facilitated in all plans.
• To keep up to date with educational research and learning strategies suited to students’ learning needs.
• To undergo in-service training when required.
