Job Title: Regional Commodity Manager
Location: Vietnam
Department: Global Trading Company
Reports To: Director Of Commodities
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement regional commodity strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers of raw materials and components (e.g., wood, metal, fabric, foam, hardware) within Southeast Asia and potentially globally.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring favourable terms and conditions, including pricing, quality, delivery, and payment terms.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and address any issues or discrepancies.
• Analyze market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and pricing fluctuations for key commodities.
• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure supplier can meet all product & process specifications prior to business award.
• Manage risks associated with commodity price volatility, supply disruptions, and geopolitical events.
